Is this worth buying?
So I've been trying to learn to sing on my own now for a little bit because I want to start doing some open mics and stuff but I just don't sound good. I've looked around for some books and thus far I've liked what I heard from this one because he gives free lessons over the web too, anyone have experience with "The Rock-N-Roll Singer's Survival Manual" by Mark Baxter or the video "The Singers Toolbox" by the same guy? Will it help? Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance.

i cant comment directly on your voice because i have not heard it, but if you dont like your voice right now, its pretty hard to change it. I dont know how old you are, but if you are high school age, then talk to some girls and see if they wanna sing for ya while you play, im doin that right now. Plus then it'll sound wicked because you're bringing a female voice to a song ussually sung by a man (assuming your playin dave or similar artists) this will individualize you from the other artists out thur.

Well if its just you that thinks you cant sing than get someone that you know will tell you the truth and sing a bit for them and have them tell you if your good or not. I thought i sucked for the longest time until people heard me.
But if you do suck that much then get a singer or if you really want to sing yourself check out some lessons.

You could also ask girls to sing if you are not high school age.praisedave wrote:i cant comment directly on your voice because i have not heard it, but if you dont like your voice right now, its pretty hard to change it.
