Does anyone know how Dave's guitars are setup?

I was wondering if his gutiars were setup with high or low action. Since he plays pretty hard I'm thinking he's not running his strings real low. Does anyone know what his action is on the low E at the 12th fret? Probably not but I was curious.....

EDIT: Still have a question...what is that black round thing in his sound hole? I notice it a lot more recently, and I still have no clue what it does/is.

it basically makes it like an electric, it cuts out any sound from the body that way all you get is the sound from the electronics
