Gibson LP

Unread post by Thomas » Wed Sep 08, 2004 6:05 pm

I'm looking into getting an electric guitar pretty soon and i'm really looking for a Les Paul.

But there's a problem, there aren't any Gibson dealers around so I would have to order it online and i can use some opinions on what i should get.

i'll start off with this one:

thanks guys :)

I always wanted a white Les Paul 'studio'.

but hen i played one and didn't like them. Too heavy and the distance between the pick ups and the strings felt unnaturally high.

I got a start instead, love it.

well they don't have any around here :(

and its not really a big deal with musicians friend since they have a good return policy.

and the wierd thing is that our music store DOES carry Epiphone LPs and i have played those. I really loved the way it felt and the sound was great, so i can only imagine a gibson being better. (someone correct me if my logic is off)

haha, what would you recommend?

Studio, the studio. I have mine, never want to lose it. It is better than the Vintage. Also, all LP guitars are heavy, they have solid wood and electronics.

hmm, i never played godins but i know they're versatile and have like a bajillion outputs (3). I am ussually opposed to buying a new guitar from a big company, so id say buy a Michael Kelly (MK) Guitar from Ed Roman.
