I have tried them out and im not a huge fan of their sound, ok i hate :twisted: them. just dont like em . anyone else

playing "tool" on a les paul sounds amazing, the sustain is great.

p-90's in the neck position are my favorite pickups though.

pauls are my personal preference but they simply fill a different niche than strats and other such guitars. I like the tonal deiversity and look of them. But hey, to each his own.

I prefer a strat myself, but I still think that the LP is an amazing guitar. And whats the deal with mulletman? why are you so obsessed with tool?

theres a couple things i do hate about les pauls -

1) the pickup selector is in such an inconvenient place

2) not as versatile as other guitars.

so basically, my Godin is better at everything except being well known.

well, godins are on another playing field, and i personally love the way the pickup switch is located, i can flip it while playin without breaking the strumming patterns.
