Martin D-35

Unread post by Mikeyt21 » Sat Aug 28, 2004 1:03 pm

I just bought a Martin D-35, and it's the most amazing sounding instrument!! The tone is IDENTICAL to Tim's. And the neck plays just like a Taylor.
I'm so happy I stuck with Martin, it was either the Martin or a Taylor 414ce, whose tone doesn't compare.

Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": I'm thinking about getting metal legs. It's a risky operation, but it'll be worth it.

congrats on the new instrument... but ive just gotta comment...

1) a lot of the tone is in your fingers.. if you cant play like tim youre not gonna sound like tim.. and you shouldnt buy one because someone else plays it.

2) the only neck that plays like a Taylor is a Taylor... nough said.

maybe Taylors just make you subconsciously scared because of their sheer awesomeness which gives ya a few problems.

*drool* thats my favorite 6 string Taylor that ive played... i have a 30th anniversary 714ce comin my way one day.. which is one reason my first high end guitar probably wont be a Taylor.
