Almost scored a Vintage Fender Tube....

Unread post by NJPearce22 » Wed Aug 11, 2004 4:17 pm

Yep was in the paper for $250. It was a Hot Rod Deluxe 40 watt tube amp. New ones are going for $577.50 on musiciansfriend w/o the cover and footswitch that came with it.By the time we got the paper (3 ish) and I searched through it (I've been looking to find a vintage strat, but no luck) somebody already got it! It would've been mine too!

man that's too bad.....that happened to me and a 66 convertible mustang for 5k. *sigh*

anyhow, if you're in the market, you should look in craigslist. there are local sections for major cities around the US and within each state area, there is a "musical instrument" section where musicians sell their gear. it's basically a big classified ad. i scored a tweed blues jr for 200. ebay will definitely have more options for you but craigslist could enhance your chances....and it'll be local =)

good luck!
