whats so great about Chets?

dave has about $10,000 worth of equipment in his rack...one of the reasons he has such a good sound. personally, i don't think the chet sounds that amazing, but its a BLAST to play.

I don't think he had $10,000 in his rack the whole time he's played a Chet though. He's been playing them for a long time. Long before he was rich enough to put that much money into pre-amps and stuff.

he played his chet all the way up through 1998, i think by that point he had the full effects processing. in the beginning i'm sure he had very basic processing/compressors.
