but too thin and it's not brushing but clicking that you hear. and you lose a lot of speed to do things like tremelo picking. i think .8-1.2 is about right for acoustic and anywhere from 1-2 for electric.

It may feel weird at first to have such a large pick (most people start out with thin) but i seriously see my ability and my tone improve a lot with thicker guage picks
