taylor 110-a decent buy?

Unread post by dmbwaldo22 » Tue Jul 27, 2004 3:02 pm

i found one at a local shop for $499, and i was wondering if this will be a guitar that will warp or lose sound due to the laquer finish... anyways, any help or advice on this instrument would be cool...

appreciative,
nick

p.s. i had to post this here, 'cause it's dmbtabs.com, welcome to it.

Yeah, I was actually wondering the same thing. My heart is with Taylor all the way, but the fundage is just not present. I think I am going to go Seagull, awesome guitar for the price.

By the way, Strong bad rules!

I own one. I have to say, it's a hell of a guitar! (and im not just saying that because I own one ethier.) I think I have a quality guitar for the $ I paid. So if your thinking about picking on up play it a bit....maybe compare it to something else...its what I did. Make a decsion, ultimatley you cant go wrong with Taylor.

Personally, I think that for $499 you can get a better guitar. If that's the guitar that you like best in your price range then get on it.

Don't get too caught up in what it says on the headstock.

Yeah, for that price you can get something like a Takamine or Seagull that would blow the 110 out of the water.

When you buy a low end Taylor or Martin, you're mostly paying for the name.

Look at Alvarez guitars. They sound just as good if not better than some of the high end Taylors!
