$1990 for a Taylor 414ce with Koa back/sides and Sitka top
Price I was quoted for a pristine '99 was $1990.

I have no idea how to valuate this guitar ... I'm told that Taylor doesn't make a Koa 414ce anymore ... Plus it has a Fishman blender.
So let's say this guitar is in AAAAA condition (best) and Rosewood and SS top is $1400 ... Does Koa mean it's that much more? I couldn't care about exclusivity. I liked the way the guitar sounded but not for an extra $600.
Thanks for the responses guys.

Jesus that's expensive. I got my K20ce new for $2300.00 and my 710ce LTD for 2k even. That's out of this world.
Koa is rarer, and prettier, but a largely inferior wood to rosewood. I bought my Cocobolo first, which sounds very similar to rosewood, and then I got my Koa guitar.
A thousand or less for that 414ce.

do you have this book, or an online link to look stuff up in it, Id like to know how much my guitar is worth just out of curiousitycharliemike wrote:Just so you guys know:
8th Edition of Acoustic Guitar Blue Book has the 414ce listed at $1550 for 100% condition (which the guitar is). So I'd be getting raped for about $440 and not $990
