Guitar Neck Broke

Unread post by fateman » Wed Jul 14, 2004 5:29 pm

I have an Ibanez (not sure on the model) and I noticed that the neck has a crack in the back of it, and the strings are a bit off until I push it back into position. It's not off by much, but I was wondering if anyone thinks it would be worth it to try to fix with wood glue or super glue and a clamp...
It's not worth much (obviously) and I can get a pretty good Washburn on Musician's Friend for 100 bucks (230 off the original price).

Thanks

The neck is broken enough that it moves?

Egads ...

I'd just get a new one ... once you break through that wood forget it. No amount of "Moon Landing Super Grip Epoxy" is going to fix it IMO :)
Sloganizer removed to prevent Slimer from suffering from further vaginal chafing.

how much would it really affect the sound? the guitar isn't a masterpiece in the first place anyway...
