I've heard good things and I practically live in Tacoma, so I thought I'd check em out.
Thanks

decent entry level guitars with a couple higher end ones that are respectable. Reasonably priced, reasonable toned guitars would be a good way to describe. Not on the same level as a taylor or martin, but still worth a look.

I don't necessarily think that Tacoma's are below Taylor or Martin. I know dave doesn't play a Tacoma and that to want a guitar that Dave doesn't play is blasphemy. If you spend $800-1000 on a Tacoma I think you'd be getting a better guitar than if you spent $800-1000 on a Taylor or Martin.

no, Hcole is completely right.
For the 4th time, Martins/Taylors don't start getting good until we are tlaking seconds jobs to get them

Really, what kinda Taylor/Martin are you gonna get for a under 1K$. We're talking 110,214, some 300's as far as Taylors, and a bunch stuff with HPL back and sides as far as Martins. They aren't bad guitars but
I think that for that price there are better guitars, including some Tacoma's.
Granted this is only my opinion and frankly I'm quite miserable when it comes to playing the guitar so your mileage may vary.
Fateman, for what it's worth if you are looking at Tacoma's you might want to check out Larrivee as well.

I have always liked Tacoma's. I think they are great, and built with quality.
