That Martin is amazing. Or, just get the D-16RGT, even better sounding IMO.

I believe this is correct. There is a pic of the Lakewood, but he rarely used it the whole tour.

Yeah her brother wanted to start playing like a year and a half ago (he is absolutely amazing now) and her mom bought him a $400 Epiphone, then like 2 or 3 months later got him a Taylor 310ce, kinda nice to be in that family ;)

I think you're right Shane. I've always loved Martins, but I've always had a weird feeling when I hear their cutaways. I don't know what it is. Anyway if I had to choose, I would get a Taylor cutaway, or a Martin Dread.

Whats the list price on that 314ce, it is so hard to choose between a martin and a taylor. I really think I might go with a Taylor, and then maybe someday by the grace of God save up and find a DM3MD, who knows, it could happen.

it's so weird the differences between the taylor and martin guitars....say that dave uses the hd 28 which can be bought for 1800 bucks on musiciansfriend....but a taylor 914ce is over twice that....you would wonder why dave wouldnt get a much better martin, unless the dm3md is better, i dont know about it.

Maybe its just me but every time I play a Martin the bass just sounds muffled to me, I'm sure I'm the only since a hella of a lot of people love Martins. And I know I'll get shot for saying this but even the hd-v28 I played a Guitar Center, like I said its just me I guess. I don't get that when I play Talyors, they sound clean and clear too me. Thats why I would say get the 314ce for a gift, hot damn I love the guitar!
