you guys are being too biased here...tone is ALL that matters and each guitar has a different tone...as with every amp...im not a fan of marshall amps but they are great amps if you are llooking for that particular tone.....as for the fender, does it occur to you that the majority or the greats used fender??(maybe slightly modified) but they could have had anythign else as well so keep that in mind

i have a Marshall (practice, 15 watter solid) and a Traynor (gigs, 80 watter tube)... while Marshalls have a better tone, theyre also more expensive. my Traynor sounds incredible, and eventually ill get around to replacing the current Celestion 70/80s with a couple better Celestions... maybe Greenbacks or Vintage 30's.. or one of each. or maybe... alnicos.. or red fangs... theres plenty of choices.
i wish i could get a hold of one of the Celestion Mode 4 cones.... too bad they.. only come in the Mode 4's lol.
fenders are the way to go if you want a one trick pony.... i do so much that i cant deal with that. fenders arent worth it.

Ok, anyone who puts down Fender Amps, do not say that to my dad. My dad loves them the most, and got me one (which is such a nice amp). He repaired a lot of amps when he repaired things on the side for years (and don't say he repaired fender amps because they are bad, he repaired the wear and things that physicly happened to it that was caused by the musicians and roadies). He also got them for his best friend's band in the late 70s, early 80s. He knows what goes on in there, and builds his own amps downstairs for his sound system he is always contiinously adding and fixing. I mean, he designs speakers for a living now.
Ok, warning here. Do not make jokes or mock anything about what my dad knows and likes. It will really offend me and him.
