i am in the EXACT same situation hillbilly....i could get an epi les paul custom or a piano similar to yours...only difference is i knwo how to play piano but like with my recording that im doin now i would really like an electric piano to add effects like strings or brass or self-created percussion....just think about it really hard and decide what you NEED because if you go with what you want then you will lose in the long run, take that from someone whose done it multiple times...hope that helps...peace

NO STAY AWAY FROM FENDER ull be very disapointed... even with an american made... if ur getting an electric i wouldtn recomend a fender

theyre OK amps, but i prefer marshall kustom, and crate and line 6 and for the same price... fender sux compared to them
