Taylor prices

Just curious what would be considered a "fair" price for the following Taylor guitars if you bought them new.

610CE
710CE
810CE

7 - $1900
8 - $2100

I could be off though, someone Im sure will correct or confirm me shortly, those are guess/estimations

Also, I remember when I was guitar shopping, you could normally take the actual price of the guitar and multiply it by like 3/5 or something like that. I could be pulling it out of my ass though

I just looked on Taylors website, why is the 600ce marked as being $200.00 more expensive then the 710ce

Anyway, I dont know how accurat those prices are, but I wouldnt call them bad approximations

I just bought a Yairi DY-91 Dread but I was at guitar center the other day and I tried a 714ce out and damn it was nice. Great action like everyone says. I think it might be the next addition to the collection.

According to Uncle Bob (Taylor) the 600 is actually a higher series than the 700, the reason the 700 is the 700 and not the 600 is he lumps the rosewoods together. The Maple Beauties are more expensive than their higher numbered counterparts. The original Taylor 900s were Maple.

Go to the Taylor website, download the price list, and subtract 40%. Pay that and tax, and if the dealer won't do it, call a bigger one like Buffalo Bros, or just go somewhere else.
