is it better to get an amp that has all the control panels on it or get a cabinet with a head?

i like a combo amp (that has the controls on it) because its easier to carry around, however stacks just look so cool, and a lot of the time heads have more stuff than whats on combo amps.

im actually getting a combo if i get anything though.

depends how must shit you want to haul around (that is, if youre going to go anywhere with it)

my cabinet is a bitch to haul around with the head
but it sounds so much better than my solid state smaller amp

just get the amp that sounds best, and has all the features you want
and some of those combo amps get pretty big too

i have 15 matty boom points, and frankly, i dont give a shit

I got a Fender Deluxe 90 Recently, really nice amp for under 500 bucks, cranks an acoustic-electric out real nice too.

Considering the board (I don't know what kind of music you play personally), I would suggest something by Fender, decent priced and good for amplifying music that isn't just a bunch of crazy distortion etc. Rather than a Marshall, which is just PURE F**KIN GAIN. (I want one ^_^)

But yeah, A Fender combo amp would suit you good.
