I'm looking for a thinbody cutaway, any suggestions???
I'm looking for a thinbody cutaway, preffereably a Martin. However, I'm only looking to shell out about $1K or less. Actually I would like to sell my current guitar and break even. I currently have a Martin D-3R, I like it, but yesterday I was playing my old Sigma thinbody cutaway and realized it fits me so much better and is easier for me to play, so I'd like a Martin or Taylor equivalent. Any suggestions???

there's a small problem with this though, thinbody acoustics aren't made to be played unplugged. if you want a guitar that you'll only be playing unplugged, then i would have to say suck it up and get used to the big bodiesMartinD3R wrote:Actually, that one you posted in the link is the Sigma that I have. I used to have a Epiphone Chet Atkins but I would like a guitar I don't have to plug in. It doesn't have to be an A/E as much as just an acoustic.

if not i would go with the chet. or if you could afford one of these i would really look into it

Look for a used Taylor 312 or 412. You can get a great guitar for the money you have budgeted. I'd watch ebay and the taylor forum like a hawk when you get the funds all lined up. Be patient and I bet you can score a like new example of either model and still have enough money to put towards an acoustic amp. Good luck!
