buzzing

buzzing

whats up fellas, just recently ive noticed a buzzing sound when i play the low E and sometimes the A strings, im not sure what could be causing this noise any suggestions its really annoying almost as loud as the guitar, thanks.

perhaps your action is too low, i would take it to a shop and ask them, they can identify the problem quite quickly for the most part.

Are they new strings?

New strings buzz for awhile...could be a problem, or it could be something that is easily fixed...you just don't know :(

besides the fact the action could be too low (new strings never buzz for me) i remember reading something about how if your pic is at a 45 degree angle when you hit the string then it could cause it to buzz. i dont know if its true because my godins action is the lowest ive ever played and it never buzzes and it doesnt buzz when the pic hits it at a 45 degree angle. you never know though

i think i know what it is because ive had the same problem on a couple occasions

it might be that your a and e strings are interferring with each other at the headstock where the a passes very close to where you have the e wrapped around

try tuning your low e up a bit (not worrying about tone) and see if it still buzzes

thanks johntherevelator i think you were right the a was making some contact with the e and i tuned it up to where they werent touching and it doesnt buzz anymore, thanks for the help man.
