wait a minute....didn't you just get an hd-28v??? its like the same guitar! please tell me you're at least selling the hd-28v when you get the dm3md.
Hell no, I dont sell my guitars. I name them and from then on, they are like my kids. Yeah,m they may be the same guitar, but they arent exactly the same guitar. As for the 914ce. I am sure you can get one exactly the same. It is not exaclty a sig model so they would have to get it for you. Unlike the DM3MD, which they would realize what you are doing and wouldnt do it cause they would be losing money

i could be wrong, but i think i heard that he got some modifications done to it. like the inlay, the cut away, the pickups....all that stuff. i think........

the thing is....i like taylor's more, but there are only 234 of the dm3md. so i think i would take the dm3md over the taylor, especially since i already have a taylor.

Yeah, Taylor won't build you a guitar without an NT neck, and this definitely affects the sound. Plus the inlay and cutaway will run another $1500 retail. It would have to be custom, and I am not even sure they'll still do the Cindy Inlay.

I believe they still do the Cindy Inlay, but it's only for custom 914's. And the extra $1200 for it isn't quite worth it, I'll buy a used '98-'00 914 ;-)

Not only is the DM3MD a rarety to find (unless you are sitting on a hefty sum of cash), but they are also brilliant sounding. I dont even think it should be posed as a question. I love Taylors and have a Taylor, but the DM3MD is such a sweet guitar.

Just my $.02

I've never played a DM3MD but I've played an HD-28v which is awesome and will soon be mine. Since they're really similar I'd have to go with the DM3MD. Sorry Fattyman, but I'd take a Martin over a Taylor any day. :)
