best strings (not the same as last best string topic)

i know something like this has been posted before, but this is a bit different. my 12 string needs new strings, and as much as i hate to do it it has to be done. the problem is 12 string sets arent always available, especially not elixirs which go for $25/pack. (yeah its expensive, but its free if you buy it with your moms credit card ). ghs silk & steal are on there now, but they wore down kinda fast. if you have any recommendations of easily found 12 string sets, please reply.

D'Addario phosphor/bronze lights. I belive the 12-string pack are lights anyway, so there shouldn't be a problem. there are Dean Markleys too and Martin strings. the regular bronze wont lasts as long as the phosphor bronze.

I'd say just order them through musiciansfriend ...and buy a few sets to compensate for shipping. I think the shipping is ~6 bucks on orders up to 75 bucks. They discontinued the Elixir 12 string sets but they still carry D'Addario and the Dean Markleys.

....while Im on here anyone have any experience w/ the D'addario Exp's???? I want to know which you guys like better the exp 80/20 bronze or the exp coated phosphor bronze strings???...

What gauge do you guys like best... exp 15, 16, or 17's

I've tried the EXP's but I can't remember if they were phos/bronze or 80/20 bronze. anyway, they were good but not worth the extra cash, especially the price I paid for them $25 bucks or something. I like tone of phosphor/bronze so I'd say go with those and I like mediums so I'd also go with the EJ17's (.13 to .56)
