As far as soundhole pickups go look at the fishman rare earth. Its good stuff, and purportedly sounds like an acoustic when plugged in.

In my Michael Kelly, I have a Fishman Neo-D soundhole pikcup (about 75 bucks), and it works great. It sounds like an acoustic, no battery, and is very easy to install (but the chord comes out of the sound hole, so be careful about tugging on it. What my dad did for me was replaced the end with an input 1/4 inch jack, which isn't hard to do. Of course, what was hard was cutting the wire short, and installed the jack to where the strap button was coming out of the back). It looks fine, sounds great, and isn't expensive. Check it out if you don't want to spend big bucks, but want a great sound.

well, i ended up getting a Dean Markley ProMag Plus soundhole pickup.... it sounds pretty nice- it puts a little bit of an electric sound to it but i like the way it comes out. Now i just need to think of something worthy of posting in the recording forum... i can never think of a song to play
