VERY IMPORTANT

Unread post by Pickles » Thu Feb 20, 2003 9:01 pm

ive been looking for a long time to see how much my guitar is worth. its a hofner 12 string that is over 30 years old. serial number in the 3000's. model number i believe is A973 but i could be wrong, its hand written and its a bit hard to tell. the inlays look like abalone (maybe?) parallelograms and have a different design around them. it has a very interesting top, seems to be flamed down the middle of it and has a light quilt on various parts of it.. i wish i had a digital camera so i could give a picture for you. it has a black headstock that says HOFNER in the same material as the inlays and has a nice little headstock inlay poorly illustrated here:

the diamonds should be over the things... anyway the reason im saying all this is because i have looked at everywhere i can and i cant find it. im really considering getting a taylor if its worth enough.. sound and feel is a lot better with a taylor. if anyone possibly has a vintage guitar magazine or price listing or something please check. anythings appreciated.
