Baritone Guitar
Baritone Guitar
So I've searched on here, and I've only found one thread talking about baritones, and it was about acoustics. I have been tryin to find a reasonably priced electric baritone guitar for about a month now with no success. I am not sure howmuch i will play it, therefore i really only want to shell oue 100-300 dollars on my first one to kick around. I've looked on Musician's friend and nothing has caught my eye.
Any suggestions?

Re: Baritone Guitar
The electric baritone market seems to have dried up alot in the last few years, but I know that Gibson/Epiphone had baritone Les Pauls out there a few years ago. I have no idea what one would cost used. I came across one Epi Les Paul Baritone on Ebay for $800...much more than you wanted to spend.
The only other ones I know of were Danelectro, but I think those are probably a bit more pricey too.
The cheapest one I found new online was this one: http://www.guitarcenter.com/Gretsch-Gui ... 1147113.gc
It's got an interesting look and is around $530. Otherwise there is a Mike Mushok signature baritone at this site: http://www.themadape.com/ProductDetails ... click=1540.

thanks guitarguy! The PRS looks pretty nice, and I have always had nothing to say but praise about their instruments in the past. Paying $800 for anything epiphone makes my head boggle. I'll try and find some reviews on that epi thanks for the help! Only thing i would pay that much for as an epi, is slash's new signature guitar -- totally american made, good pick ups -- can't be much worse than a Gibson. Thanks again man
if anyone of you were interested in this topic, i decided since the baritone market is so barren, i'd go with a 7 string. i'm going to order this baby in a week
