not for me, for my roomate. He's been playing mine for months, and he's now ready to get his own so we can jam.
Can anyone reccomend a really good sounding acoustic elec?
model numbers would be really appreciated so i can research them online some more.
Also, the guy is a beginner so we're not talking martins here

If you're talking Martin, the only way youd ever get one for 350 is by using that money to play the lottery. Seriously tho, I strongly recommend getting an Alvarez. Best sounding low end acoustics, check them out.

At that price range I don't think that you'll be able to get much in terms of an acoustic electric. As far as acoustics go I recommend looking at getting a used guitar. You can find used guitars that are in better shape than most of the guitars you'll find at Guitar Center. I have a Washburn
d-10s(good beginner guitar) that I got used for 175$ and a Larrivee D-03 that I got used for $450. Both sound good but the Larrivee is without a doubt the better of the two.
Washburn does make the d10s with electronics and I imagine you could find one in the 350$ price range, but unless you absolutely need to plug it in I recommend getting a regular acoustic.

yeah, Alvarez's are good for the $$. I personally hate Ovations, but the price on the low-end models aren't bad. You won't hear many people talk about them, but Yamaha's are a good choice as well. Tell your friend to definitely consider a used guitar for his first one.

Just get a regular acoustic for now and purchase the pickup later and have it installed. It will still be cheaper than getting a guitar that already has one imo.

Why does he want a Acoustic/Electric?.... I'm mean your just gonna pay more money for one... and it's not like y'all are hitting the stage anytime soon.
Look up, look down, look all around.
