fender blues juniors
I thought that I read somewhere that fender blues juniors were discontinued...? Then later I saw that there is a hot rod series blues junior. Have blues juniors always been in the hot rod series or is this some new thing they are doing? Are they the same?

Hot Rod's and Blues Juniors are all similar amp styles, same goes for the Pro Junior and the Hot Rod Deluxe and Deville's, they are part of the same series and have similar sounds, just the Blues Junior and Pro Junior are lower wattage and don't really sound that good stock to be honest. I have modded my Pro Junior and just for playing heavy lead it sounds fine, however the stock tubes were providing twice as much volume as I needed so I swapped em for 12AU7's for lower gain, able to push more distortion out of my pedal that way. Gonna change the speaker too for something with more treble, they sound rather muddy cranked up. I know some people who have done mods to their Blues Juniors to give them better tone since it is a decent amp for the price, just needs a better speaker and better tubes.
