Anyone interested in a Gibson Chet Atkins SST?

Anyone interested in a Gibson Chet Atkins SST?

Unread post by thesavageguy » Sun Nov 23, 2008 12:33 am

I'm highly considering selling this guitar. I seem to prefer showing it rather than playing it. And now with a baby on the way, that really doesnt cut it.

I was under the impression it was an 03, but the serial number starts with 01. So does that mean its an 01? Someone enlighten me here. Either way, the guitar is in mint condition. Anyone that knows me can attest that I clean my guitars both before and after playing them. Yeah, I'm pretty sure its a disorder of some sort. Anyway, it comes with the official Gibson case (pink liner anyone?) and I will also be throwing in about 10 pairs of Chet Atkins strings to go with it. Paid $1250 for it years ago. Would like $1500 shipped if paid through PayPal, $1400 if through Postal Money Order.

Also, for anyone who takes it down, I am also going to throw in a free wall mount/hanger.

Cheers mates!

Did you buy the DM3MD from this guy in May 2007? http://64.233.169.132/search?q=cache:-B ... cd=1&gl=us

I searched "dm3md 104" in Google and this was the first post that came up. If so are the updates the original owner made to the guitar intact?
I recently just had the original bridge pins, saddle, nut, and end pin replaced (bone, bone, W. African Hard Ivory, bone) as this was an 8 year old guitar.
I've sent you a PM as well.

Alright then, lets try $1400/PayPal or $1300/MO on the SST.

Keep in mind thats shipped with insurance and all that.

Not to mention all the strings and wall hanger. I can also throw in a couple framed old advertisements about Dave and his SST. I think they are both Gibson advertisements.

Holler!

$1300 X 1.03 (3% PayPal fee) = $1339. Where does the other $61 go?
