Hey guys right now I'm rocking out with my Takamine EF508KC and I had a few questions about electronics
I have zero experience with acoustic amps as I'm the only one I know out of my friends that plays acoustic guitar over electric guitar. I'm playing through a VOX 15VT right now and I was wondering what the benefits of switching to an acoustic amp would be. Is there any real benefit like better tone as maybe the acoustic amp is wired to tend to an acoustic guitars needs better than an electric amp can?
Also, I'll most likely be playing through a BOSS DD-20 Giga Delay pedal shortly and was wondering if there were any other delay/loop pedals you guys would suggest.
Thanks for the help

Re: Amp and Pedal
Check the DL-4 pedal.
As for the amp, an acoustic amp is specifically designed to reproduce the natural sound of your acoustic guitar and will have a wider frequency range output. Also, it will probably have feedback suppressor mechanisms, like notch filters, etc.
At the end of the day, if you really plan on playing a lot with your acoustic guitar plugged in, I would suggest the purchase of an acoustic amp; if it's just for fun, the VOX is probably enough.
Depending on your budget, you can go from a Crate (cheap) to an AER (probably the most natural sound). Other well known brands are Ultrasound, Roland, etc. I have an Ultrasound and they have, IMO, the best quality/price ratio.
Good luck and shoot more questions if you have them!

Re: Amp and Pedal
Delay pedals: Dl-4 (more expensive, more options but also a lot of useless ones) or Boss DD6 (standard delay with few features for cheap). I'd go with the DD6 in your situation, I have both.
