you might try to find a used d28 somewhere. I don't really know how low those get in pricing, but you may try it.

Or you could build a guitar, and make it exactly as you like! If you have the tools and at least a general idea of using them, I'd say go for it. I did and it turned out magnificently. I'll try to upload pics later
