Honestly, I dont think there is really any tube amp worth your while for 200 bucks unless you find something used at a pawn shop.
I have heard that with tweaking, the Epiphone Valve Junior Guitar Amp is pretty decent. But still, spend the money on the amp, not the guitar.

Do I listen to pop music because I'm miserable or am I miserable because I listen to pop music?

The reason one buys a tube amp is for great tone. I just dont think you can get great tone from any of the amps that are under 200 dollars, you would be better off getting a solid state amp because they sound better for the money....
Just something to consider.

i have a semi hollow and a les paul...it would be for playing classic rock and some blues (if i ever learn how)
i mostly play at home...so probably a 30w would be more than enough for me

Fender Blues Jr is 399 new. Great amp, my favorite.
Vox Custom Classic AC15CC1 is 599 new. Also good, different tone than the blues jr and more features. Great for playing classic rock tunes.
If you need something louder, the Fender Twins (1149 new) or Fender Deluxes (849) work very well. I have played on these before and my god are they loud. You can probably find them used on ebay too, very popular amps.
Also, the Marshall valvestate amps are not bad for not being tubes. If you like your tone crunchy, those bitches can be overdriven really hard. Good for hard Rock/metal...
best thing to do is bring your guitar to a store and plug her in. See what you like. Also, find a knowledgable sales person. A lot of these amps need some coaxing and proper settings to get good tone. You havent tried an amp until you have turned every knob on both the amp and your guitar.
Good luck, any other questions, let me know.

is this the blues junior that you speak of? i'm a little leary about it because it says combo amp in the title, but then down in the description it says it is all-tube preamp. does that mean that there is some postamp something or other that is solid state, or is this the all tube blues jr. you were talking about?
