My electric guitar

Unread post by Willin » Thu Feb 15, 2007 1:53 pm

I re-styled my guitar. It's a Fender Yngwie Malmsteen Signature Stratocaster. I changed the pickguard, pickup covers, screws, shielded the body cavity, whammy bar, and strings among other things. I don't have a great picture of what it originally looked like but the first picture will give you some idea. What do you think of it?

Notice the black strings:

Badass Dude, i was thinking of putting that same style pickguard on my tele.

They make black strings?
Do I listen to pop music because I'm miserable or am I miserable because I listen to pop music?

If you want to see how it sounds, here's a vid of me playing a metallica solo on it that I just uploaded to youtube:

That looks nice! I came close to buying a G&L Legacy on ebay today, but refrained. I've been really wanting a Strat.

How do you like that Tubescreamer?

Thanks - the tubescreamer is nice but my main limitation is my amp. It's a Fender Princeton 65 that i've had for years. One of these days i'll get something nicer...

Metallica will see you in court.

Nice vid. You've definitely got Kirk's speed down.

Changed my guitar again. I had this Misfits sticker lying around so I threw it on there and got some hot pink strings.

My brother's girlfriends dad is Jerry Only of the Misfits ( http://www.renaissancefashions.com/armo ... isfits.jpg ) - I play in their studio and stuff sometimes so the sticker has some meaning behind it.

Yeah, they can look pretty cool. I don't remember what the set was that I tried, but they felt crappy and sounded crappy. I'll stick with my Super Slinkies.

I don't have any pics but my guitar is a Gibson Les Paul Custom 57 Black Beauty with gold tailpiece.
