The only staining you do by yourself is sheet staining.

yeah, the owl is lame but growing on me. Gives it personality.

I agree, but i would stear away form the red. I would go with a nice natural darker medium brown with a Honey gold sunburst centered down and to the left a bit.

I say stay away form red stains because theose tend to look better on "axes", and there is a very natural look to the design work, so i would stay with natural colors. I think that would look sweet.


*I love the black to red sunburst as well, but i think it would look out of place on this guitar.

I think you should get it painted but ony if your willing to invest the money and have it professionaly done.
