Alright, since some of you want to rip me to shreads since I gave an honest opinion to someone else's recording, here is your chance. This is a simplistic original song I wrote/played/sang/recorded at home on one take. It's somewhat hard to hear the vocals since I was sick at the time and also because all I used on this was one microphone.
Anyhow, have a listen and say what cha want, I don't sing in my band anyhow...lata And, by the way, I can't stress it enough that I meant no hurtfulness to DMB2Step in what I said, but still I'm sure some of you can't get past that...maybe some day

good solid guitar playing and stayed in key real well on the vocals, although your pitch wavered on the chorus when you hit those high notes.
i just thought the overall rhythm and progression of the song was kinda boring. the melody was real choppy, which just made the whole song seem to drag on. the progression was just way too repetitive. i liked the little theme you had going with the slide up on the high notes, but you should have put something in there to change it up a bit.
4.5/10

That's cool....everyone has their own opinion

I do agree that it's repetive, but there are countless songs I could name that are written that way (ex: Ryan Adams). That's the only one that I've written that's repetive in that form, but it's all I have lying around that I did alone and I have no time to do another.
4.5 / 10.....

lol!!

Pshh...Everyone's a critic!
As for the song, the guitar was great and all, but I would have liked to hear more of your voice -- gotta love those emotional male voices. Put some balls into it!

I enjoyed it, although I must agree with Fatjack that it tends to drag on a little bit and the main riff is a bit repetitive. Not to say that's always a bad thing, but this type of song could have definitely used some more variations, such as the little riff at 4:04-4:05 or so.
All in all though, I was impressed. Nice job.
