Hosting Alternative
Hey guys I just found out about this hosting company a few days ago. They have a startup special running. You get 500 MBs of storage and 5 Gigs of bandwidth a month for FREE for the next 3 years. I just thought it would be good for everyone that wants to post there covers online or that just wants to put up a site.
I already signed up and got my site up for free. I didn't purchase a domain or anything so right now it is a sub domain, but you can get one for 5.99 a year. But so far I haven't paid a nickel and I got hosting for FREE.
Just wanted to give every one a heads up.

that almost sounds to good to be true. whats the catch? do you have to sign some contract for so many years after the 3 years is up. i would love to get my own domain name instead of using my schools, but the one's i would need are around $15-$30/month.
thanks for the info

Yeah that is what I thought to. So I decided to sign up for it the other day to see for myself. They never asked for a CC number during the setup and now I have a site. I didn't even really need to have the site cause I have hosting else where but I was like why the heck not.jjr0319 wrote:that almost sounds to good to be true. whats the catch? do you have to sign some contract for so many years after the 3 years is up. i would love to get my own domain name instead of using my schools, but the one's i would need are around $15-$30/month.

Is that easily done you think? You get 5 Gigs, how many do you get on angelfire a month cuz I know that excees pretty easily. Also, I hope if you go over they let you know immediatley so you can remedy it as opposed to handing you a huge bill after 3 years.isaac wrote:yeah...you can cancel anytime, though, so that's good. you only have to pay within the three years if you exceed your monthly bandwidth.

yeah, i gave my cell, too.
and i don't think wasting 5 gigs of bandwidth can be done that quickly...lol. just do the math and take down the files when you're about to exceed. i'm sure it has a monitor that tells you how much bandwidth you use.
and fortunately, for every gig you go over a month you only pay a dollar. not too bad if you ask me.
