Song that Jane likes

Unread post by borocks » Mon Dec 29, 2003 4:43 pm

I've never seen a cover of this around here yet, so I just thought I could do it.
I did it in two tracks. a bit too much reverb on the vocals. I'm not sure about the outro.

Tell me what you think
Peace, Boris

K I just listened to this...
You played it real slow, the thing i love about this song is its fast pace but that's just personal preference.
The intro, i'd emphasize that D a bit more..
The vocals in the intro are tricky, you got them but they just seem to drag on cause you're playing it so slowly. Otherwise they were on key and it sounded pretty good.

You're not playing the suspension at the beginning of each verse, the C in the Am. You should try that, it sounds awesome.

The outro well, yeah it's pretty wrong but i think you know that.
It's a bit tricky at first. I can't really explain it in a post.
If you like i'll post an audio clip for you which might help.
PM me if you want it.

Overall, it was solid just speed it up a bit i think and try that suspension.
Good stuff, keep it up

what do you mean by suspension? Kanter just tabbed simple open chords for the verse

It's not tabbed but you can hear it and see it on videos. He plays it once at the beginning of each verse. Just a suspension on the c note in the Am chord.

like this:

Code: Select all

E:-------------
B:---1--0h1p0
G:---2--2-----
D:---2--2-----
A:-------------
E:-------------
if that doesn't then let me know and i'll give an audio clip.

Hey echt gut mit dem Akzent und so! Ich liebe das Lied, obwohl mein Name nicht Jane ist. Echt beeindruckende Leistung, mein Freund. :D
