Hey peeps! Wanna check out an original song by me and a frie
After sharing my humble little #41 and #40 clips, I thought maybe you wanted to hear a quick recording me and a friend did of a song we wrote [music by me, words + singing by friend of mine]. Once again it's done in my room with the help of my laptop, a tiny pc mic [so some levels are off], and Brian's help who is hosting the file. Let me know what you guys think! Feedback appreciated!

That was just awesome, I liked it very much. The song sounds really cool.
The low sound quality is the only thing which is likely to criticize. Except of that, just awesome.
The guitar playing sounded pretty simple but very soldid though. What I did like best was the voice. The voice of your friend is really really great. I think probably one of the best I've heard on these boards ever.
Keep on postin songs!
And it's nice to have some other Europeans around here too.
Peace, Bo.

the girl can wail. i think she kinda soundsl like the girl from evanessence...the studio type..not live, that chick sucks live. i would have liked to hear some harmonies and i don't think the song really compliments her voice that much. it does sound good, but she sounds like she has more range that what that song lets her excersise. the additional track in the middle of the song was a little too much and drowned her out, but im sure we're not going for recording quality.
awesome stuff near the end. i loved the multi tracks of her voice. awesome awesome awesome. good job you two. very impressed.

Well, the link didnt work for me. But thanks to a little help from Appfro, I got the file.
I'm going to have to concur with the status quo on this one. That girl's voice is fucking great. Its a pretty cool little guitar riff too...nice and simple. I'm seriously impressed. Great job on this one.

Great song. The girl sounds just like Dolores M. O'Riordan Burton of the Cranberries.

outside of the recording quality...
my critique:
the girl who comes in singing has a SOLID very present voice. It's reminiscent to me of that scottish or irish group that was real popular a while ago... though i dont remmeber their name.. the cardigans? no that's not it... uhm... cranberries? lol i dont remember.. anyways, the guitar and vocals work together very nicely... is this an orriginal?
to be honest if i heard this song live in a set, i'd be EXTREMELY glad i came to the show... this kind of moving song... is the PERFECT balance of slow with passion. (up to like 2:00)
"because summer days are quickly passing" -- damn the lyrics are beautiful. the harmony that happens after that phrase is fantastic.
it get's SUPER muddy at like 2:20 though i assume that the muddiness is more a factor of the recording quality then anything else... the vocals balance this muddiness very nicely...
cant say enough good about this... where are you guys from? maybe i could help you guys get a really nice recording.. i'd love to get a good copy of this song.. it's one of those rare songs that just hits me hard in the middle of my 'self'
GREAT FUCKIN WORK
regards,
x
