great change ups, well defined muting, and a nice vocal wine, i give it a 9, not a 10 cuz dave gets the 10, being its his song. i agree and i would like to see more covers popping up from everyone, i want to throw my billies version on there, or maybe a little BEF, it would be pretty interesting to see a lot of covers pop up, then we can match egos,ha, ill be looking for more covers soon

Very good. I love that song. I have a hard time with the string slapping during the chorus. How do you do it?

first off...look at the videos on this sit...secondly, if I remember correctly jkanter only holds down the strings he is playing during the slapping part. In any event, that is not how dave does it...during the chorus, hold down the whole g chord(3-2-0-0-0-3), the whole a chord(0-0-2-2-2-0), and the whole bminor(0-2-4-4-3-2)...then pluck the correct strings...this way, if you hit or pluck any wrong strings, it wont sound bad because its still in tune...the slapping is just a rythm issue-palm muting...slap(palm mute) pluck, slap pluck, slap pluck...hope this helps Gombo...and pittman, i dont know what you mean by rig(i have a soundblaster sound card and a $15 labtec mic)...later

Was Dave playing that? That Jimi was kick ass too.
