Neat plugin I found

Unread post by Bedurndurn » Sat Oct 11, 2003 6:22 pm

I found a really spiffy plugin for when you're fiddling with recording. It's called Antares Auto-Tune. Theoretically, you're supposed to be able to set it to the right key and it'll make you not sound like crap anymore. Well, it doesn't do that, you end up sounding like Cher or it kills it by adjusting your pitch to the wrong notes. So don't do that. Instead, switch it over to graphical mode and use it on small phrases, it shows you, visually, exactly what notes you ARE hitting and which ones you don't. If you suck as badly as I do, that's damn handy information to know. Also, when you're using the graphical mode you can tell it how to correct the pitch, which works like a bajillion times better.
