finally got Satellite

Unread post by borocks » Tue Oct 07, 2003 10:51 pm

Here's my next cover, I've just done Satellite, a lot tougher than I expected it to be. Took me a lot of work doing it without any mistakes. The verse and intro riff are not picked I rather strummed the strings and just muted those that aren't played. Tell me if you like that.

Here you go:

My hands are too small for satellite.
Either that or my guitar is too big

it was pretty good, but you need to work on the higher registers of your voice. you hit the higher note, but only for a moment and then your pitch waivers

its understandable, Ab isn't the easiest key to sing in

Sarah, this is what i use...try it out, it's pretty easy and less stressful (not 100% Dave, but 98% sound quality i'd say) let me know what you think

man, I have the same problem. When I recorded it, I did several takes in which I screwed up something. I had to begin again, but always had to strech my thumb for a while to be able to play the whole songs again. I think that's the thing which makes it hard to play.
Depends also on the strings you have got.

Thats it, I was trying to remember how I used to play it and thats the way, it sounds pretty good if you cant play it the "right" way.

Yeah, it's pretty high to sing, especially the "and the calm away by the storm is chasing" part. I did it an octave deeper so as not to sound bad.

How can I learn to do that kind of singing better?
