Almighty Stairway!

Unread post by Cor » Tue Aug 12, 2003 5:31 pm

Back again, with some new ear candy!
:D

I have added another song to my soundclick.com site, and it is *da-dada-daaaa* Stairway to Heaven LIVE from the talent show! You can all review it if you want, but I figured everyone might want a good listen of me live.

Sorry about the horrible quality (recorded on a video camera, then transeferd into computer) it sounds like there is a Chorus effect on everything, but it is just the camera mic. It is REALLY screwed up. it sounds like 1,000 turkeys Gobling at your backdoor. You can hear everything though, and it's a good listen.

Now that I think about it, I'd like anyone willing to critique me please do so/ I am curious as to how anyone thinks I handled the singer screwing up a little during the last verse before the drums come in.

Thanks,
Cory

Ps. If you haven't already, and want to, check out my mini-tirpping billies cover. It's Okay!

This is my favorite song...... so I would be picky.

The only problem is the sound quality was so annoying - I can't really say much. I wish you could record it better or something.

The guitar sounded pretty good, from what I could hear. I didn't like the vocals (not like many people can sing like Robert Plant). Anyway, from what I could tell by this bad recording - overall it was alright. I'd probably like it better if I could hear it better. :)

Ehh, well, sorry about the recording quality, but as I said There is no wway about adjusting it. It was recorded onto an old video camera(thats where the chirping happened) . I got it onto the computer from the RCA ooutputs into 1/4 in adapters into the soundcard i have.

I guess Austin didn't really sound like Plant. But he was the best singer we could find. He did the job for us, and he is a good friend of mine. In fact he did us a favor by doing it. We didnt have a singer and he's been a Zep fan since 5th grade. He was always a claassic rocker

Did anyone notice the little Dave-Style "Watchtower" thing we threw in there. I would hit the distortion on the G chord in the 3rd and 4th verses. It was a fun little touch. The drummer, Myself, and my bro are all pretty big "DMB-Heads" :D

Thanks for listening,
Cory

ok another is up. We jammed this before we started "Stairway" so beware! the quality is the same!

the song is the upbeat song that was my backing track when I was in "Guitarmageddon", a contest in guitar center earlier this year.

enjoy!
