the thing that got me is that the words seemed a little too crowded at times. there didn't seem to be a lot of room to breathe at times if that makes sense. it also sounded like you were using some sort of effect on the guitar that was a little eh, but overall it was pretty good. if I were you I would just think of possibly smoothing out the lyrics in some parts, paying in mind to keep it easy-going and smooth.

actually, that's the best recording of any of my songs. my brother recorded it on a 4 track analogue. That's why its that quality. My others are recorded on a computer mic...so they are a lot less in the quality depo.

No effects. Actually we had two mics set up in front of the guitar. One part was recorded w/ an Alvarez, the other w/ a Martin D16 GT. But i agree, the Alvarez does sound like it has something on it...but it doesn't. ill post a few more in the future. Stuff that's a little more raw, cause i don't have a good recorder.

This is the first song i've ever written...so hopefully the next ones you hear will be a little less "sappy" :D

Thanks for the feedback, i need all i can get guys.

i thought it was good. yes sappy, but what are you gonna do. i agree with everyone else, maybe smooth the lyrics out a bit, but the guitar sounds good... good first song!

Hey i thought this was a very well written song, sappy, but from the sounds of it, sappy for the right reasons ( Sounds like very personal lyrics)

Oh, and man, you have a very cool voice. Its very original and sounds like its yours and not trying to emulate somone. I'm jealous

Well done

ps Can't wait till i can get some of my covers up as soon as i can figure out why my mic recording has all this crackling and fuzz in the background

You're right, sappy for a reason.

Thanks for the compliments all of you, it really does feel good to hear good stuff about something you put your heart into. I'll be sure to bring the rest of my stuff as soon as i can get them under copyright.

Just wanted to reiterate what a lot of people here have said.......GREAT SONG! I really enjoyed every second of it. I thought the lyrics were great, singable, to the point, easy to remember, I could have sang the chorus in the end. I really really liked it. Great job!
