Then Who am I (Oringial)

Unread post by Alazais » Tue Apr 17, 2012 4:42 pm

I used to frequent here fairly regularly, but I haven't done so as much over the last few years. I was horrible years ago, and I'd like to think i'm getting better. In saying that:

I have started working on this song. I was hoping someone wouldn't mind downloading and giving a listen to. I'm looking for some general opinions and perhaps some insights on where to go. Any feedback is and as always appreciated.

Again, I do appreciate any and all feedback. Tell me I'm the worst ever, just let me know you listened to it.

your playing a singing remind me a lot of David Gray. It's a simple song, and the lyrics are straightforward. I used to identify with this approach a lot more than I do these days. Not saying it's a worse way to go about lyrics, just not my favorite thing these days. The one line that bothered me was the "That's why I wrote this song" line because I have this tremendous aversion to self referencing lyrics. Other than that though, the emotion and realness come through nicely. My suspension of disbelief was never shattered in terms of authenticity, so good job there.
Also good to see at least someone posting in this forum. It is seriously dead anywhere but nDMB nowadays. Cheers.
