first off, good job...the main riff is pretty good...you have pretty good rhythm I must say kid...it sounds like maybe you havent gotten to the point where playing the song on the guitar come second nature to you, which is very important in singing the song...that will only come with practice...it sounds to me like you're thinking about the guitar part while playing? you stayed in tune pretty good also(singing-wise)...it also sounds like you're holding back on the vocals...god knows I have that problem too...but anyway, I would say you did very well as DMB songs ARE pretty much the hardest songs out there to sing and play.

Yea, wasn't that bad, but it sounds like your trying to sing the notes of the song.. You gotta be able to sing it, and play it, like its 2 totally different things.. you're singing sort of like each note is a word, try to work on it :)

I always enjoy hearing covers of this song, simply because it is so fun to play.

Two things, which have already been mentioned. T

he vocals need work, because it sounds almost like you are just talking, only with a little melody in there. Your voice is sort of choppy, what I mean is that your voice and words are hitting at the exactly the same time as some of the notes on the guitar, which doesnt sound smooth.

The guitar also needs a little smoothness, try to let it flow and keep a rythm going that lets you concentrate on the vocals a bit better. There are a lot of mutes and stuff that you are missing in between the actual notes, specifically after the slide parts. Listen to some acoustic versions of the song so you can remember which parts go where, it sounds like you just did the main intro riff in parts where the verse riff should go.

It was good considering it's a tough song.

Hey man. The guitar part sounded great. A few breaks in the rhythm here and there but overall the guitar was very good.

Now on to the vocals. I echo a lot of what others have said. I'm guessing based on your voice that you're pretty young, right? It doesn't seem like it's fully developed yet. The range of your voice seems narrow and that's why it sounds like you speaking rather than singing. That'll develop in time, you just need to practice.

Try extending your range a bit by singing along with the CD. Put a little more emotion into it while staying on key (you went flat a lot). Don't try to make your voice more than what it is but try to go higher and lower within your range. Have fun with it and try to sing confidently. You're on the right track. Hope this helps...

guitar is great!

for the vocals, you need to not strain, but work on hitting the natural notes...you kinda just strain your voice to the notes...put some heart in it and see if you can put accent on the notes (vocally) that need it...

but it sounds great to me man :D...keep it up and practice on training your vocals :)

That was... unique... Your guitar is pretty good in the begining, but the transitions aren't there. Your singing needs a little work. Fix the rhythm, transitions, and key, then it will be golden.

yes i agree with lagomarcino. the guitars a pretty good, i must say, especially for sinigng at the same time. several of dave's songs are quite hard to play and sing at the same time. the vocals however...they might use a bit or work. your sorta making up your own tunes to it, and it could be better. also, the rhythm is a bit sketchy at times. overall, the guitar is great but the vocals could be better. try a few more times, i'm sure each time it should improve. 8)
