Stupid question but I gotta ask

Unread post by ut4ever8 » Mon May 26, 2008 10:43 pm

I just got a M Audio Fast Track Pro and a condensor mic. Everything is installed fine I think, I have my music playing from stereo speakers through the FTP. I have my Mic plugged in to the FTP with xlr cables but when i go to record it is still recording from the built in mic. How do I fix that?

Did you try

Control Panel > Sounds > Audio Tab, change inputs?

Yeah it says Fast Track Pro in 1/2. I have the XLR plugged into the Mic input 1 on the front panel. That should be right shouldnt it

Are all the drivers installed? Try updating the drivers? Restart your computer? Change settings for the fast track?

Got it fixed. I had everything set up right except I needed to disable the build in sound card. Now that I got that fixed I apparently have to buy more RAM for my computer with money I dont have. Thanks though Kahn

I only have 256 MB of Ram on the computer and they said that probably wont be enough for audio recording. It may work for a while but I will run into problems
