new original song

Unread post by dmbguitar718 » Tue Apr 15, 2008 9:12 pm

a fairly straightforward and relatable song. it's probably the most honest song i've written and i'm fairly happy with it.

Very nice. Sounds a bit like Death Cab to me. I really liked the guitar work. It was a catchy little riff but still very relaxing. Keep up the good work

I actually was reminded of the death cab song brothers on a hotel bed when i was doing the repetitive patterns with the piano, especially end. i could have scrapped it because of that, but i figured i would have done it if i had never heard the song so i kept it.

thanks for listening and commenting, i appreciate it. :)

Wow, man, this song is really good. Its simplicity really makes it work. I absolutely agree with the death cab vibe...but i think your voice also has a little bit of a Teitur sound to it. Very mellow. Very good. I'd buy your music.

Thank you. I've never heard of Teitur. As for buying my music, I'm in the pre-production stages of recording my first EP, which should be completely done and available at the end of the year. I'm really really excited about it.

I always enjoy your music. This is no exception either. Be sure to post here when your EP is available. I will buy it.

oh no no. just guitars, piano, marimba (because they won't difficult parts) and other little parts like percussion (not the full kit) or whatever i decide to throw in there. for the rest of the instruments, i'm writing out all the arrangements over the summer then coming back to school where i'll have musicians much better than myself play for me.
