Okay, my friend Andy and I decided we wanted to try and write a song in an alternative tuning. This song is in open Bminor, (DBDF#BD). We kind of were just messing around on the guitar part and then decided to write out some rediculous words that rhymed at every line. The song kind of turned from rediculous to creepy because the words we found to rhyme sounded kind of obscure.. but anyways, let me know what you think. The song is named after this 25 cent pawn shop ceramic green buddah i bought with the left hand broken off.
Here's the lyrics:
Hold your right hand up high
try to say a goodbye
Maybe try to squeeze by
chewin on a flesh fly
The shy sky is tie dye
Hereby the meat pie
Untie your third eye,
tough guy, whiz by.
Lets see eye to eye,
give out a battle cry
can't evet comply,
find some rules to live by.
Bad guy fruit pie
not a thing you can deny
far cry go by
chokin' on your glass eye.
Near by zip by
wild rye wet fly
white tai in reply
FBI the evil eye
Captain bly, central tie
can't believe the dobsen fly
Can't smell to live by
Yentai talformorai
After we recorded the two of us on acoustic guitars and me singing (or coughing out the rediculous lyrics) we added in some overdubs of some guitar and some keyboard. Let me know what you think because I'm new to the whole "producing" thing, but we're just kind of having fun with it. Thanks for the input, it helps a lot!
