*******Imagine-John Lennon Cover********

Unread post by AustinG » Sat May 19, 2007 10:56 am

I did this in one take, one track, this morning, nothing perfect. Let me know what you think and if it's worth tracking out, I have a lot of ideas for it..

at about 2 mins I reached for my mouse, hammerd on and bent a note, in turn made the track skip a sec...so be warned ;) uhh yeah on second thought I did that on purpose.. See I'm a taking away something from you in the song.. and you're supposed to imagine life with no possesions.. So yeah man I did it on purpose.. ;)

Yeah and boy it was worth the wait. Your singing is great and you took some great creative liberites with the song while preserving the beauty of the original. Kudos. Very nice transition from head voice to falsetto, its smooth.

This kinda reminds me of what this would sound like if bradley noel covered it. very rhythmic.

I loved it and everyone else should check this out.

Very impressive. This is a hard song to cover well, and you did a great job. I like the guitar work, and your vocal is really very suited for it. Only critque is a couple of pitch problems when you deviated from the actual melody of the singing, but really besides that it was great. Nice work man

Yeah the only pitch problem i hear is on the line "and no religion too" so work on that. Otherwise great.

It was off the cuff, and I took a lot of chances.. everything just needs to get a lil tighter...

I'll definitely track this one out.. Thanks again, means a lot to me.

Great sounding and your voice EERILY reminded me of Miguel's, especially in the beginning.

So you said that... and I vaguely remembered lurking around here a while back and spotting someone named Miguel, I only remembered him because he did this awesome Bulletproof cover.. and me loving Radiohead, it stuck out... I didn't come around for a while and when I came back no Miguel... I figured he just kept getting better and moved on to bigger and better things..

Then I did some searching for "miguel"... I can't believe it... I feel horrible... just horrible...

Things like this make you realize how short our time is here.. How we shouldn't procrastinate and make the most of it...What a shame.. so young.... I was sure he'd make it someday...

They say only the good die young..... but nobody ever said it was fair..

Horrible..... just horrible....
