...is dead.

Where's the new blood? People we havent heard from before? Regulars with hundreds of posts but no recording forum posts? Beginners? People learning DMB songs? <--(I like helping people with those where I can, and learning from them where I can't.)

I know I posted this in the suggestion forum, but one of the fastest ways to get something down is to post it up and have people who know what to listen for tell you what to fix.

Just sorta calling people out to get this forum going again...(and Im aware I havent posted anything here in a while, but I'm getting to the point where I feel my ear is pretty well trained with respect to dmb songs) I know theres gotta be some newbies out there who could use the help...dont be afraid to post, even if you need a lot of work! Best way to get better...

Buehler? Buehler? Anyone?

I do agree with you, they seem dead...I'm thinking its because alot of people are wrapping up school and such.

I know I have never posted a song here yet...I guess you can call me chicken :( . But I guess its time to learn how and put one up....don't want you guys getting restless and jumping ship to another board!

I keep meaning to record stuff but just havent yet. Ive been planning on recording BOWA, SMTS, Jimi Thing and maybe some others and posting them. Id also like to record some of my originls with my friend singing over with maybe some drums/bongos too. But we all have summer jobs now and its kinda hard. Plus my guitar strings are sooo old and my friend just went on vacation. But hopefully in a week or two Ill have some covers and later some originals with lyrics too.

Yeah well maybe this forum is dead because not everyome has fucking state of the art recording equipment to sup up there fucking recordings. Hell I cant even afford a goddamn microphone for my computer much less a recording program. Got to go to University of MIchigan mext year so all my money is going to that, otherwise I would post stuff.

It's coming...

I'm planning on posting some recordings soon enough - it's hard, of course, because after having recorded yourself, you're often embarassed at how bad you think you sound (well, it's like that for me anyway). But I'm building up the courage to start posting soon - just got to record some more tunes =)

As for those of you complaining about not having the equipment, that is just a really lame excuse. You can get a great recording with a cheap $12 mic plugged into your computer and using Windows Recorder (of course, if you can d/l Sound Forge from Kazaa, it's even better...). Anyway, don't let your so-called lack of equipment stop you!

For those of you who _do_ post songs, thanks so much! It's awesome hearing other people play DMB songs - not only because it gives me a better idea sometimes of how I can play it, but because it often makes you feel better when you realize that other people have a hard time with certain parts too ;)

I don't post my recordings because they're musically incomplete.

LAME excuse. $12 mic from best buy, some "demo" recording software from Kazaa, and you're set. You seem angry. Take some prozac. :)

Yeah sorry, I posted that really late at night and I was really, really out of it  . I'm not that angry, I probably should buy a mic so I can get some stuff on here this summer. I'm just saying that I can't afford the high-end stuff where you can layer things and mess with settings and all that.
