my new band "the project" - an original and a cove

Unread post by afurth » Mon Feb 12, 2007 4:48 pm

hey guys - you are awesome with the feedback, etc.

my new band, "The Project," played our first show a week ago. i got some audio of it, but the kick drum is clipping - other than that it sounds pretty good.

so you don't have to download anything, the tracks are available for stream (and one for download) at my website - http://www.andrewfurth.com

feedback, telling us we suck, etc. would be awesome - my excuse list: it was our first gig and we'd only been rehearsing for 2 weeks (we had to cram it together for a battle of the bands, but we won so that was cool), also my voice was gone and we missed a few changes... this is far from what our goal is for the band.

that having been said, the first tune has a short intro, but its called "three step drop" and the second one is a song phish used to cover "funky bitch"

THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR THE FEEDBACK!
- Andrew

Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": As long as there's, you know, sex and drugs, I can do without the rock and roll.

Sweet

The clipping is killing me but it gets better as the song progresses. That song is funky, i like it a lot. All the instrumentation is solid, you sound a lot better than two weeks practice so well done. For being gone the voice works pretty well, it actually adds a little bit of soul to it. You also do a good job of projecting your voice so that it rises above the mix. That is also due to the good arrangement.

No real critiques, i'd sit through your show anyday.
Do I listen to pop music because I'm miserable or am I miserable because I listen to pop music?

gracias - the clipping is fixed - and i added another tune up there - there are now three from our first show.

it was fun as hell with the band - we just need to practice in my grandma's basement or something haha
