I'm looking to start recording some of my songs and I want to pick up one of these USB interface recording boxes to get started. Of these two can anyone give me some feedback on if you have them or used them if they are good enough to make some decent to somewhat high quality recordings, as well as ease of use. Thanks in advance.

You don't necessarily want to go with USB for a recording interface..
USB are rated at 480 mbps.. burst.
Firewire is rated at 400... constant.
That means that you will ALWAYS have low latency.
I personally use a:

With an Audix OM5 for my mic.. The mic isn't a condenser, but it's the best male vocal mic around and I can use it for my live shows as well.
I love my setup... I just need to invest in software that lets me do unlimited tracks, the software that comes with it (as with all software that comes with this stuff... I used to have an mBox..) only lets me do 4 tracks and 2 effects at a time.
I'm looking into Cakewalk..
Good Luck!
